What to Bring Fishing


When packing for your Quetico canoe trip, print this camping check list and mark the items as you gather them. Save yourself the worries of forgetting something and enjoy your weekend getaway!

 

Clothing



  • 2 long-sleeved shirts
  • 2 T-shirts
  • 2 sets underwear
  • 1 wool jacket or sweater
  • 1 light windbreaker
  • 3 pairs of socks
  • 1 broad rimmed hat
  • 1 pair of sneakers
  • 1 pair of light boots


For early spring or late fall trips into Quetico Park, bring long underwear, heavy jacket, extra sweater, gloves, warm waterproof boots, wool socks and a toque or hat with ear flaps.

 

Personal Canoeing Gear



  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Chapstick
  • Insect repellent
  • Suntan lotion or sunblock
  • Small first aid kit
  • Pocket knife
  • Compass and map
  • Bath towel and wash cloth
  • Rain Gear (if you have your own)

Also bring a small tackle box with extra line, spinners, twisters, floating and sinking jigs, daredevils, rapalas, sinkers, leaders and snap swivels.
